Workshop Curriculum
The original Writers Retreat Workshop curriculum, developed by Gary Provost, provides the basic structure for the workshop, including sessions on ideas, character, plotting, structure, tension, pace, description, dialogue, and more. At the same time, instructors bring their own experience and understanding to their teaching, which gives participants a variety of perspectives on every aspect of craft.
Gary's 14-Step Process takes you step-by-step through the entire progression of starting, writing, and completing a novel. It is a framework through which you can discover your own approach to telling your story.
Classes can include Power Point presentations, film clips, and handouts, and each participant will receive a course notebook and a link to Gary's Video Novel Workshop.
